The Federal government requires that we confirm information reported on the FAFSA for students randomly selected for verification. Documentation required is receipt of federal tax information through the IRS data retrieval or a tax return transcript received from the IRS and a verification worksheet.
First time loan borrowers must complete an entrance counseling session and master promissory note (MPN) before loan funds can be disbursed. The following can all be found on the student loans website.
Private Student or Parent Alternative Loan Information and Application.
Students planning on majoring in Education may be eligible for a TEACH Grant. This grant is awarded to students who plan to teach full time in a high-need field in a low-income school immediately following completion of a degree. This award is up to $4,000 per year.
As part of the process of finalizing your eligibility for financial aid, we must gather information about types of financial aid that come from sources other than Heidelberg University. If you will not be receiving any outside scholarships/awards, you must still file this notification.
The term 'Outside Scholarship/Award' refers to funds awarded to you and administered by an entity other than Heidelberg University.. Outside scholarships and awards include (but are not limited to):
Scholarships awarded by your high school, religious, civic or other organization; Tuition benefits received from your parent's employer; State and federally funded scholarships and grants that will be available for your use at Heidelberg University.
